NEW!!!

Brief Strategic Coaching (Open University Press)

I’m happy to announce that my new book Brief Strategic Coaching is now released. Brief Strategic Coaching offers coaches a different process for rapid problem resolution and change. It guides clients to identify solutions that are actually creating problems rather than resolving them and how to break free from the vicious cycle of ‘the more I try, the worse it gets’ in order to get unstuck. The new solution is often radically different to the original one and brief strategic coaching offers a targeted process for successful implementation of these new actions
Coaches can use this book to:
• Integrate brief strategic coaching with their current methods of working
• Understand and assess current solution attempts by coachees
• Support coachees to escape the cycle of problem maintenance
• Adjust problem perceptions and develop new, different solution strategies with the client.
This book offers a fresh and practical take on a classic idea, making it an essential addition to the bookshelves of coaches and management leaders.

The AC Global Bulletin – Coaching in Greece

The Association for Coaching (AC) Global Bulletin hosted a short piece I wrote on coaching in Greece. I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time, when coaching had just started appearing, primarily in business. The Athens 2004 Olympic Games, European funded programmes for employess along with the first Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) helped with the business case for employee counselling and paved the way for coaching. Since then, a lot has changed. Feel free to download the article.
